What Is The “dreams Come True On Woodward” Event?
Each year, The D-MAN Foundation transfers more wheelchair-bound individuals into convertibles to participate in the world’s largest one-day auto event – The Woodward Dreamcruise. As a Dreamcruise Sponsor, you can help us transfer more individuals into a convertible for a ride of a lifetime, all while promoting your business at the same time! Most of the individuals we transfer are victims of auto accidents and have not gotten into the front seat of a car since their accident. It had been over 15 years for some of them! We knew this event was something special when I heard client Trei Cools say,
“I was able to feel like a normal person for once, and it was so nice to have people look at me like I didn’t have a disability at all.”
All of the funds raised for this event go towards our unique Assisted Travel Program. The D-MAN Foundation’s Assisted Travel Program provides knowledge, experience, coordination, and financial support for disabled clients to make their travel dreams come true. Each year, amazing sponsors join together to help us carry out this one-of-a-kind event. This event grows so rapidly each year, usually doubling the amount of client transfers, volunteers, and guests. In 2022 we were able to successfully transfer over 100 clients out of their wheelchairs and into drop top convertibles! It was a memory they will always cherish and anticipate for years to come.
When And Where Will This Year’s Event Be Held
2023 Dreams Come True On Woodward event will be held on Friday August 18th, 2023 : 1pm – 4pm DAWDA MANN Building (Back Lot) 39533 Woodward Avenue, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304 (About ¼ mile south of long lake road, on the west side of Woodward)

Interested In Donating Your Car Towards This Heart Warming Event?
The DMAN Foundation has been so blessed year after year with amazing drivers who sign-up to be a part of this event by donating their convertibles and classic cars to give our handicap clients the ride of a lifetime & the opportunity to ride down Woodward Avenue like everyone else. The DMAN Foundation hosts private transfers under a separate event tent with lifts and equipment padded to ensure the safety of the client and safety of the cars. Each driver drives their own cars, and each client must ride with one other person on their care team. Convertible Cars are preferred because they make the transfer process easier; however, we can still utilize classic cars without the drop top as well.
If you would like to donate your convertible towards this year’s event, it would mean a great deal to us and the people we serve. Getting into the front seat of a car isn’t easy for everyone.
